Summarizing the past few days

Here's the shortened, "Bridget Jones" version of things:

Days in England: three (roughly)
Cups of tea: seven.
Alcohol units: it's probably best not to say.
Weather: Startling beautiful. Got sunburned in Oxford yesterday; there are white lines from where my necklace chain hung all day. Arms and possibly legs turned pink today.
Nose status: very freckled.
Foot status: heels are chafed but not yet bleeding. Feet are itching to do some more exploring.
Current accommodation: Ollie's uni bedroom, as he is at home with his family for the break. He is frighteningly neat and tidy for a 20 year-old male. Will see him, as well as Richard, and Sian, on Thursday in London. Hurrah!
Current companions: Marc, aka Welshie. Charlotte, travel companion and chef extraordinaire. Has fixed me four meals and will not allow me to cook or clean up after her. I am useless!
Current overall physical state: tired, pink.
Current emotional state: quite content. Am expecting the meter to change to "blissful" when we arrive on the grounds of Chatsworth Estate tomorrow. Some of you may know it as Pemberley in various adaptations of Pride and Prejudice, and thusly, the home of Mister Darcy. That is about 80% of the appeal, I'll admit.
Updates on Oxford and today's excursion up Leckhampton hill, as well as tomorrow's visit to Chatsworth/Peak District to follow. For now, a few photos:
