About the Author

Aidan indulging in Paris! April 2011.
Aidan B. (formerly known as Aidan Boleyn) is not actually related to the infamous Boleyn family, though she wishes she was. She is not even British. She just doesn't want strange bloggers knowing her full name. But she and Anne do share the same initials!

Aidan is a 24 year-old college graduate (what do you do with a BA in English?) who enjoys traveling, eating good food, reading, writing short fiction and poetry, and listening to music along the way.

She currently lives outside of  Philadelphia, and she is  employed full-time in a publishing office. She hopes to have a story or poetry published within the next couple of years. Her ultimate goal would be  to move to Europe and pursue her writing career there. If her boyfriend had his way they'd move to Iceland, but she's not so sure about that.

Her favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, Susan Vreeland, Edgar Allen Poe, Margaret Atwood, Thomas Hardy, Jane Austen, and Alison Weir.

Enduring musical obsessions include The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Fleet Foxes, The Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, Amos Lee, Frightened Rabbit, Adele, Florence + The Machine, The Smiths, The Beatles, and others.

All-time favorite movies include Pride and Prejudice (the Keira version), Love Actually (about which Aidan wrote her senior thesis), Jurassic Park, and the Masterpiece Theater versions of Tess of the D'Urbervilles and North and South. The last two movies she's seen at the theater are "The Hobbit" and (she still gets chills thinking about it) "Les Miserables."

On the small screen, Aidan enjoys Mad Men, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Luther and as always, reruns of Frasier.

For content she thinks is funny or meaningful, Aidan can also be found under the twitter user name aidanboleyn.
