Save the Date(s)!

Well my friends, it's official: April 8, I shall make my long-awaited return to the United Kingdom!

I fly from PHL at 9:50 PM on April 7, arriving in London at 10:10 the next morning. From there, I shall hop on a train or bus to Cheltenham, where I shall be reunited with my old Uni Gloucestershire hall mates, who have their own house on Victoria Place. I could not be more excited!!

Current plans include:

Cheltenham Spa, "England's most complete regency spa town," and the place where I spent what were certainly the happiest three months of my life;
Oxford, where I shall hopefully make a pilgrimage to the Eagle and Child to pay homage to Lewis and Tolkien, and possibly visit Blenheim Palace;
London, taking in Notting Hill, a good curry, the Tower and whatever other museums Charlotte won't mind visiting;
Chatsworth House, aka the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and the set for Pemberley in the latest Pride and Predjucide feature film;

and hopefully, a trip through the Chunnel to go and see my dear friend Katie in Paris for a few days :) I return to the United States on April 20, which gives me a nearly two-week trip in all.

I've already started a packing list...I just like being prepared, okay?

You can expect a much better blogging effort this time around, dear readers! I shan't let you down.
Now, as there are six inches of snow outside and the white stuff is still coming down,  I have a snow day; the library did not open! Time to get some things done :)
