Well, yesterday was Thanksgiving, and my first Thanksgiving without my family. I thought it would feel strange, to wake up somewhere else, not watch the parades in the morning, not smell pumpkin pie and turkey cooking...but I actually had a pretty good day. I managed to finish the religion paper from hell, turned it in, and had a great Thanksgiving dinner.

Unfortunately the bus that took us to dinner was a bit late and we had to wait in the POURING rain for it to come...I was among those fortunate bringers of umbrellas who had to share mine with someone else. But once we got to the carvery, it was turkey, roast beef, baked potatoes, corn, brocolli, yorkshire pudding, carrots, hot tea, and a big ice cream sundae to top it all off. It was different being among friends instead of family, but still a really nice time.

Then I came home to my lovely British friends and spent most of the night goofing off with them. I did call home and talk to my family: Mom, Lauren, Dad, Poppop, Mom again. It was nice to hear from everyone, and to hear that they were missing me. It's nice to be missed sometimes.

Well, my addiction to watching Frasier online continues...during lunch anyway. After that I have to finish my creative writing project.
